Located near the Milan Lambrate train station and the East orbital road, this office complex has been designed by the architect Lisciandra with the intention of recreating a “dialogue” with the territory. It is aligned to the road by a large open entrance courtyard which draws attention to the two regular bodies of the building between which the great glass hub stands out.
The ground floor hosts the communial functions; in the rear, there is a “pilotis” ground floor to allow the maximum permeability with the green areas at the foot of the building and the use of the open spaces in winter and summer.
The lateral façades have fixed aluminium slats, oriented to deflect the light and, at the same time, to hide the vertical load bearing structures.
The considerable flexibility of the internal space has been created thanks to the structural solution designed by SIO that has provided two way flat slabs, supported only by steel columns placed out of the façade perimeter.
The commission carried out up to now by SIO covered the structural concept design and the consequent final design.
